Drew and Sam Talk Training Podcast

Fauser Consulting is excited to announce a collaboration with Drew Helmholtz & Better Than Yesterday Consulting! Our new collaboration is a training and leadership podcast designed to help you get the most out of your team! Drew and Sam Talk Training is a podcast with two pizza lifers, Sam Fauser of Fauser Consulting and Drew Helmholtz of Better than Yesterday Consulting, who have taken their talents to the internet. Drew and Sam use their combined 3 decades of experience as they review books that make an impact, interview guests who value their team, and of course, talk training!

Episode one, “If you always do what you’ve always Done”, is already out and so far we are getting some fantastic feedback. In the first episode, Drew and Sam talk about their upcoming Staffing eLearning module, review a book that brings the energy, interview a franchisee who has his team on the right bus, and share a few activities for those leading classes. If you haven’t listened to it yet, you are truly missing out!

Have a suggestion, topic, or question that you want us to discuss? Send us an email or contact us and maybe your topic will be featured on an upcoming episode.

High Performance GM in the Dakotas!

Four days, two workshops, 30 hard-charging Honey Badger General Managers and countless new ideas later, these Dominoids are ready to start driving change in their stores and owning their markets! I had the privilege of spending two days each with Honey Badgers from both South Dakota and North Dakota. The group from South Dakota got a laugh when I told them that on the drive up from Michigan I decided I should make a stop to see Mount Rushmore while in South Dakota. For those of you that don’t know, as I apparently did not, South Dakota is huge and Mount Rushmore is a five hour drive from the location of the workshop. As you can imagine, I still have not been to Mt. Rushmore. Sioux Falls, you guys are great and I can’t wait to see you all again!

Tuesday night I headed to Fargo to spend a few days with the GMs from North Dakota. The drive up included 40-50 mph wind gusts, and my bike rack did all it could to make sure my new favorite piece of exercise equipment made the trip. I’m happy to say, no bikes were lost or harmed during the trip! The North Dakota group was full of energy and displayed a crazy amount of desire to learn new things. I’m excited to see the changes they make in their markets and the results they drive! And yes, while in Fargo, I did see “the chipper”!

I’ll take this show anywhere! If you’re looking for a 2-day workshop to drive enthusiasm in your group and give them the knowledge they need to be successful and continue their development, then this would be a great workshop for your team!

Get your ‘Big Book of Standards’

I’ve been doing some OER visits for clients and have come to the following conclusions…

  • 1. Too many of our team members don’t know the criteria.
  • 2. Too many of our team members don’t know the standards.
  • 3. Too many team members are guessing about shelf life guides.

So, I scoured resources and got all of the most current documentation and put it in any easy to reference book. I’m old school and I like a book! I had a few extras printed. If you’d like one, reach out via our “contact” page and I’ll get one out to you.

I’m just looking to cover the cost of printing and shipping. $20 will cover it. I can do PayPal, you can send a check and soon I’ll have a square reader set up.

I’m told that all of this is available on dLive. There’s no hidden info in the book. Just easy to reference and already put together. I will only ship to actual Dominos Pizza stores, no personal addresses.

‘Train the Trainer’ workshop in January

Fauser Consulting is hosting a “Train the Trainer” three-day workshop in January 2020, likely Ann Arbor. It’s designed to elevate stand-up training skills. We’ll give trainers tools and techniques to better transfer skills and knowledge to their participants.

Dates are January 13,14 and 15th. This would be a great workshop for anyone that teaches; Trainers, Supervisors or GMs with future growth potential.

I’ll be posting more details soon, including location and pricing.

Class will be limited to 16 participants as there will be a lot of 1-on-1 coaching. Participants will have the opportunity to present at least three times and receive feedback after each time.

This workshop was created when Sam was with the brand and rolling out Training Co-Ops across the country. We saw incredible jumps in not only stage presence, but also confidence and an understanding of the trainer’s goal: To Transfer Skills and Knowledge.

Let me know if you have interest or questions!
